Huawei setup

You may need to make additional system adjustments for Huawei devices to record Geo Tracker tracks in the background without interruptions.

2. On the same screen, tap the “App launch” bullet, find Geo Tracker in the list, and tap the toggle to the right of it. New window will appear, please make sure all three toggles here are switched on – «Auto-launch», «Secondary launch» and «Run in background».

3. If you set everything up correctly, this apps list will look like this:

Geo Tracker will suggest you turn off battery optimizations at the start of recording if they are turned on (this is the default). Please also confirm it.

Realme setup

You may need to make additional system adjustments for Realme devices to record Geo Tracker tracks in the background without interruptions.

1. Open System settings > Battery and ensure all power saving modes are switched off – toggles should be switched off like in the screenshot:

2. Next, on the same screen, open “App battery management” and select Geo Tracker.

3. Turn on the “Allow background activity” and “Allow auto launch” options.

Geo Tracker will suggest you turn off battery optimizations at the start of recording if they are turned on (this is the default). Please also confirm it.

4. Open System settings > Battery > More battery settings > Performance mode and select “Smart performance mode” or “High performance mode”.

5. Open System settings > Battery > More battery settings > Optimize battery use > Geo Tracker and select “Don’t optimize”.

6. Open System settings > Battery > More battery settings > App Quick Freeze and ensure it is switched off for Geo Tracker.

7. Open System settings > Battery > More battery settings > Optimized standby and switch it off.

8. “Lock” Geo Tracker. To do this, open the app and minimize it by tapping the central button. Next, go to the app switcher by the bottom-left “sandwich” button. Tap the two dots near the “Geo Tracker” title and select “Lock” – the lock icon will appear near the “Geo Tracker” title.

OnePlus setup

You may need to make additional system adjustments for OnePlus devices to record Geo Tracker tracks in the background without interruptions.

For Geo Tracker to record tracks in the background correctly without interruptions on Oneplus devices, go to Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > switch to the "All apps list" (Top menu) > Select Geo Tracker and choose "Don't optimize" option.

Vivo setup

You may need to make additional system adjustments for Vivo devices to record Geo Tracker tracks in the background without interruptions.

1. Open System settings > Battery and ensure all power-saving modes are switched off – toggles should be switched off like in the screenshot. Open System settings > Battery > Battery saver.

2. Switch off the “Use battery saver” toggle.

3. Open System settings > Battery > Background power consumption management > Geo Tracker and select “Don’t restrict background power usage”.

Geo Tracker will suggest you turn off battery optimizations at the start of recording if they are turned on (this is the default). Please also confirm it.

4. Check the previous screen - Geo Tracker should appear here.

5. “Lock” Geo Tracker. To do this, open the app and minimize it by tapping the central button. Next, go to the app switcher by the bottom-right “sandwich” button. Tap the small arrow near the “Geo Tracker” title and select the “Lockdown” option.

6. Check the lock icon - it will appear near the “Geo Tracker” title.

Xiaomi setup

You may need to make additional system adjustments for Xiaomi devices to record Geo Tracker tracks in the background without interruptions.

1. Open System Preferences > Apps > Manage Apps > Geo Tracker and set “Autostart” to “Enabled” and “Activity Control” to “Unlimited.”

2. Make sure the power saver is turned off globally in the system: go to System Preferences > Power & Performance, and make sure the “Battery saver” and “Ultra battery saver” options are turned off.

3. It is also recommended to “lock” Geo Tracker while recording a track, especially if you want to turn on the recording for an extended period (for example, when you just put your phone into a backpack for the whole day). To do this, open the list of recent applications (a small square at the bottom panel), find Geo Tracker, and long-tap it. A menu will appear with a list of actions.

4. In this menu, there is a “lock” icon – tap it. You can unlock Geo Tracker when you finish the recording similarly.
